We are seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day shop and yard operations at our Dayton, TX facility. This role blends leadership, technical expertise, and facility oversight to ensure safety, efficiency, and high-quality service for our customers.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Responsibilities
  • Manage daily shop operations, including work order assignment, parts processing, invoicing, and tool/equipment upkeep.
  • Oversee yard activities, including piling inventory, reconditioning, inbounding, and outbounding.
  • Maintain facility and grounds to ensure operational readiness.
  • Mentor, train, and develop apprentice technicians/mechanics.
  • Balance workload and staffing levels for optimal productivity.
  • Educate customers on proper equipment operation and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and fuel systems for heavy construction equipment.
  • Assist technicians with inspections, maintenance, and repairs as needed.
  • Complete preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, fluid changes, and minor diesel engine servicing.
  • Maintain accurate service records and control parts inventory.
  • Travel within the assigned region for customer training, maintenance, and repair support.
Skill Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or vocational training.
  • 18 years of age or older; valid driver’s license with clean MVR.
  • 5+ years of leadership/supervisory experience.
  • 5+ years of heavy equipment maintenance experience.
  • Expertise in heavy machinery, hydraulics, and electrical systems repair and maintenance.   

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational/technical degree in Mechanical or Electrical fields.
  • Project management experience.
  • 10+ years of construction heavy equipment maintenance experience.
