Drive Drilling Method - rotary percussion drilling with hydraulic drifter
The drive drilling method, also called rotary percussion drilling, is characterized by its easy and simple handling.
Optimal results can be obtained in group conditions which can be displaced without flushing or which can be drilled with flushing without the risk of creating caverns. For example in soft rick, medium dense gravel, silt or sand.
The hydraulic drifter drives the percussion drill casting in a rotary motion to the desired drilling depth.
Dependent on the selected drill system and the ground condition, the crown bit can be re-used (full face drill bit) or keeps in the drilled hole (lost drive bit, lost crown bit).
According to the application in question flushing will be done with water or suspension, only conditionally with air. The flushing medium comes back along the casings out sided to the earth's surface.
