Auger Drilling Method - rotary drilling with auger
Simple and easy to handle drilling system for drilling in soft and homogeneous grounds where no casings are required, like clay, soft rock.
If flushing is required or the hole has to be filled up with concrete because of a high ground water level, augers with hollow stem and thread connections are used.
For example a rotary head with central flushing head or a drifter with a separate flushing head can be used. The flushing medium reaches the drill bit through the hollow stem and returns through the outside spiral of the auger.
Drill head with tungsten carbide fingers or round shaft chisels can be used as standard clockwise drilling tools.
