GeoDrill Excavator Mounted Drilling Attachment |
|
The GeoDrill™ drilling attachment is the newest, high-tech design by ABI - Germany. This versatile drilling tool is a perfect match for many job sites including those with limited access, low-headroom conditions, and long-or high-reach requirements. The ABI design features rugged components for extremely reliable operation.
GeoDrill Features
- Patented design by ABI - Germany.
- Typical drilling diameters of 18" to 60". Larger diameter holes can be drilled in certain conditions. Drilling depths of up to 60'.
- Streamlined installation on new and used excavator carriers from the 15-ton to 30-ton class.
- All Kelly Bar sets manufactured from high strength steel. Available in both Square Friction and Round Locking styles.
- Unlike truck-mounted units, the GeoDrill attachment and excavator carrier provide ultra-fast mobilization, extended reach and access to difficult drilling sites.
- Operator-friendly controls include two custom joysticks for all drilling functions. Reliable, illuminated touch screen display for level/depth control and troubleshooting.
- Rotary torque is supplied through the use of one ultra-high displacement, direct-drive hydraulic motor. Reliability and efficiency are greatly improved versus typical hydraulic motor and planetary designs.
- Universal drilling mast can be fitted with all rotary drive sizes, and can be ordered in standard and low-headroom configurations.
- Unique open design allows for better visual inspection of the Kelly Bars during drilling and easier routine maintenance.
- The powerful and fast Kelly winch is mounted low for better C.G. and improved cable fleet angle. UHMW nylon sheaves reduce cable wear.
- Grade angle correction up to 10 degrees left/right, 30 degrees fore/aft.
- Kelly winch: 16,860 lb. line pull, 203 feet per minute. Optional auxiliary winch: 4,496 lb. line pull, 164 feet per minute.
- Crowd cylinder force: 15,736 lb. Extraction cylinder force: 38,216 lb.
